As winter approaches, I can’t help but worry about how Ukraine will manage its energy needs during these challenging times. With attacks on critical infrastructure continuing, the risks seem higher than ever. I’ve read bits and pieces about their energy preparedness, but I’d like to know more. Are they increasing imports or perhaps increasing renewable energy production?

This is somewhat encouraging, but I still wonder how much of their preparedness is dependent on external factors like international support or geopolitical risks. Increasing energy imports sounds like a safe move, but I imagine it’s expensive. And gas reserves may be holding on for now, but are there any contingency plans in place?
