Hi. I recently tried to install vmware as part of the installation I had to apt full upgrade. Now when I boot it takes 10 minutes to get to the login screen and when I do finally get to enter my password it hangs for another 10 minutes. I can run activity monitor and terminal but in terminal I can't sudo sure when I try it tells me su: authentication failure.
When I nmcli general status it says it's not running.
I was going to try a non destructive install but I can't find any tutorial online.
The error message I'm getting is
Failed to start system-machine.service - virtual machine and container registration service
Failed to start network manager. Service - network manager
Can someone help me. I'd like to reinstall but I can't risk losing my data.
